We love seeing our students’ creativity on display, so come on and enter this year’s costume contest! This is for Benchley-Weinberger students only, please.

Prizes will be awarded by “celebrity judges” to a 1st place and runner-up from each of the above groups, so bring your “A” game! The contest will begin at 4 and winners will be announced on the spot, so please be on time.
Rules + Guidelines
1. Follow our regular school rules regarding the dress code:

Costume must sufficiently cover the student’s body (refer to dress code for specific rules)

Nothing that promotes the use of illegal substances or activities

Nothing derogatory, disrespectful, or depicting violence
2. No weapons or items that can be used as such:

Anything that can inflict harm upon another can be considered a weapon. Examples of prohibited items include (but aren’t limited to): guns, knives, nunchucks, sticks, throwing stars, arrows, bullets, and lightsabers.

Any accessory that is used improperly or is considered inappropriate for school will be confiscated, and the student’s caregiver can pick it up from the office the following week.
3. Students must show respect for others by not choosing costumes that are insensitive and/or offensive to our diverse backgrounds and cultures.
4. No costumes that are overly grotesque or include blood and gore.
5. Most importantly—be CREATIVE and have FUN!
